Pay It Forward Scholarship

This $1,000 scholarship is offered by a MVCC graduate who received a Foundation Scholarship and is now working as a successful professional. The former student wanted to “pay it forward” by donating a scholarship to help a student like he was helped. This scholarship will be awarded to a student to use toward tuition, fees and books purchased in the Moraine Valley Bookstore. The scholarship will be divided in half with 50% being used in the first semester awarded and the remaining 50% in the following semester. If a student is graduating/transferring their program during the first semester it is awarded then 100% of the funds will be awarded during the first semester it is awarded. The recipient must be a full-time student carrying at least 12 credits during the semester it is awarded. The recipient should have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate financial need through FAFSA score or if a Non-Fafsa student they should describe their financial circumstances in the essay.
