Brand Family Firefighter's Scholarship

This $1,000 scholarship sponsored by the Brand family, (a local family of firefighters) awards a student in the Firefighter Academy or EMT program who has successfully completed 12 or more college credit hours and is currently or planning to enroll in 6 or more credit hours during the time the scholarship is used. The applicant must be a single parent with dependent children or the dependent child of a single parent. The student must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA to qualify. A short additional essay is required. The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, and books or supplies from the Moraine Valley Bookstore.
